Choose 'Export group Vcard'
Save this file somewhere handy, like your desktop.
Upload this to Buzzfuse*
How do I delete my account?
We don't actually delete accounts, but rather make them inactive. An inactive account means that the content items associate with that account are no longer active in search and are no longer eligible for rewards, either historic or future. Of course, an inactive account also means that you don't receive daily emails, but you can still search our site.
I am moving my content from one host to another, how does that affect me?
It doesn't at all - you can still use the same item widget/button code for each item and it will still reflect on our system. Just as Buzzfuse* allows you to gather feedback on the same item when its hosted in several different places (e.g. facebook and myspace), so too you can 'move' and item by simply re-publishing it with the same Buzzfuse* item code. You can access the code for each item from the item view in 'my account'.
Can I download my address book?
Sure, go to 'contacts' on 'my account' and follow the link from there...
I sent one of you an email and didn't get a response, what does that mean?
Unless you know one of us personally, the best way to get around our spam filters is to use the contact form from the 'Contact us' page. We respond to all mail sent through that form as quickly as we can.
How do I add or remove friends?
You can invite anyone you like to join your circle on Buzzfuse*. This means you will share recommendations with them and vice versa. To invite someone, go to 'my account' > 'contacts' > 'add contacts'.
You can easily invite a single contact, import from your address book, or upload and invite your gmail, yahoo, or hotmail contacts.
2. Content registration & interactiontop
Introduction:
All content in the Buzzfuse* system is identified by the associated Buzzfuse* widget. Widgets are free for all users. Advanced features are accessible by premium users. In order for content to be part of Buzzfuse*, a unique widget must be registered for each different item and activated by the creator. Thereafter, the same interface is used by each successive consumer to interact with and give feedback around the content item. Aggregated summaries of this interaction are provided to the creator to help them improve their work. We are constantly working to improve the functionality of this widget and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have.
Can I tag the same content from multiple domains?
Yes, Buzzfuse* creates a unique tag for each individual piece of content that you add to the system, regardless of where it hosted. Simply add the same widget code to each place where you host a particular piece of content and Buzzfuse* will do the rest. You can get the specific code for each item by viewing that item in 'my account'.
How much content can I add per month?
There is currently no limit to how many pieces of content you can add to the Buzzfuse* system per month.
Can I use a custom button on my website?
Not at the moment, but you can choose from our lovely colour schemes - one of which is almost sure to fit your site.
I have problems with the widget on my site
What problems would you be experiencing?
How important are my contents, title, description, and tags?
These are all very important - all of this stuff helps people find stuff they like - and without it, the chance of them finding your item is much reduced. Please describe & tag accurately.
What file formats does Buzzfuse* accept?
Buzzfuse* does not host any content, but we regard all types of creative as legitimate, be it blogs, pictures, videos, music, etc. Please check with your hosting provider or content site for which file types they support. If they don't support the content you produce, you can always move provider - Buzzfuse* will move with you, wherever you are...
Do I still own the rights to my content?
Absolutely, your content will always belong to you, by using the Buzzfuse* system you grant us irrevovabel rights to display, link to, market and reward your content. See our Terms & Conditions for more info.
3. Content ranking & recommendationstop
Introduction:
Buzzfuse* uses a proprietary system to rank content and to provide relevant recommendations of new content to its users. The ranking algorithm is secret but looks at content in terms of how much people interact with it, as opposed to machine interaction or page views. We also consider other factors. All content is ranked using the same system. Recommendations are provided for content from within your social network and from the 'best of the world'. Recommendations are matched to either your tag settings, or search queries on the Buzzfuse* page.
I don't have a big network of friends how will that affect my ratings in the Buzzfuse* system?
Not much; Buzzfuse* uses a set of proprietary algorithms which measures the popularity and relative value of you content regardless of whether that content is circulating in small or big groups. Based on this rating your content is then recommended to the rest of the Buzzfuse* user base.
Can I publish/share/recommend adult content using Buzzfuse*?
It's a fact of life that some people will want to use Buzzfuse* for the marketing or discovery of adult content. We let users decide what they want to see (the default setting is 'Adult Off', but this can be changed in 'my account'). If you create adult content, then it must be flagged as such when you register each item. If you find adult content that is not flagged us such, you can change its status by marking it as 'Adults only' in the Buzzfuse* review interface. If a few people do this, we will remove the item from our search results.
How do I hack the system to change my score?
Don't even think about it, rather consider a long tall cold drink on a sundeck surrounded by people who admire your work for what it is...
How does the ranking algorithm work?
We could tell you, but then we would have to kidnap you and keep you in a secure underground bunker for the rest of your life WITHOUT internet access!!! Hardly seems worth it when you think about it like that.
4. Search & daily mailtop
Introduction:
Buzzfuse* aims to make it easy and interesting to discover high quality content. We identify high quality content using the Buzzfuse* algorithm and recommendation engine. We match this to your preferences based on either your tags (when logged in to the site or in your daily mail), or to specific search queries. The Buzzfuse* daily mail goes out to all registered users and contains recommendations for content from within your social network and beyond.
My friends spam blocker stops them from getting Buzzfuse* recommendations, what can I do?
If you're really a friend, share your recommendations with him/her! We encourage sharing in a loving, caring kind of way. Seriously though, we do everything we can to prevent being blacklisted (no mail is ever sent without permission, unsubscribing is easy, and we use trusted 3rd parties to deliver our daily recommendation emails), however, if you do find you mail as not getting through please contact your hosting provider or system administrator and ask them to adjust their settings - it helps us and still keeps the real spammers at bay!
